Policy

For over 20 years we have worked with commercial companies who rely on our product’s quality and availability. Being both the designer and the manufacturer of our products allows us to manufacture these products for the longest time possible. Even when a product is moved to legacy, we always try to accommodate your needs by either offering a drop-in replacement or by providing a long end-of-life cycle. GHI Electronics is your partner, not just a module provider.

The Chain-of-Trust

When working with electronic projects, you are trusting the vendor on the availability of components needed to build your product. This trust is just as essential as for the processor or any other component on your project. The timeline above is just one example of our commitment to a consistent and timely development of new products while maintaining maximum compatibility.

Policy Life-cycle

Active: This product is recommended for new designs. This product comes with a 5-year guarantee for full support of hardware and software from the date of release.

Mature: Mature products are proven designs that have served well for over 5 years. Mature products are available for at least 5 years after the end of Active status (10 year minimum product life cycle), giving customers plenty of time to upgrade. We recommend starting new designs with Active products.

Legacy: This product is no longer available through our normal distribution channels and can only be ordered directly from GHI Electronics as a special order. Legacy products are not recommended for current or future designs. Contact us for availability and special-order requirements.
